Hawk 300 is a mid-level system from Vision Engineering's Hawk family of non-contact measuring systems, designed to achieve the highest levels of accuracy and repeatability. High precision and large capacity measuring stages are available, with a range of illumination options to suit all applications.

Data processing is performed by a powerful QC-300 multi-function microprocessor with high resolution touch-screen colour video display, designed with ease of operation in mind. 

The intuitive QC-300 software includes enhanced programming and integrated live video display with automatic point entry and Video Edge Detection (VED).

Hawk 300 High Accuracy Measurement Details
Hawk 300 has been designed with precision, flexibility and simplicity in mind, making it ideal for high accuracy quality control routines of a wide variety of component features. Hawk 300 delivers impressive accuracy, repeatability and reproducibility and has been designed to cope with the demands of both higher volume batch measurement requirements and individual component parts. 

Integrated Video Measurement
Accurate video measurement requires advanced image processing software, combined with a precision measuring stage. 

Hawk's QC-300 video processor includes an array of measurement tools, including simple crosshair measurement, offset cross hair for difficult-to-find edges, manual or automatic single point detection and multi-point video edge detection. 

A range of high specification, high performance measuring stage options (up to 400mm x 300mm) ensures the highest levels of measurement accuracy. Each stage and stand are collimated to ensure critical parallel positioning and has factory-completed non-linear error correction (NLEC) calibration to ensure optimum accuracy, traceable to NPL/NAMAS/NIST standards for the purposes of ISO9000. Combined with 0.5µm resolution measuring encoders, this provides a system repeatability of up to 2µm for complete confidence in your results.* 

Superior Optics
Hawk 300 utilises Vision Engineering's patented Dynascope™ technology to provide enhanced surface definition for accurate and simple measurement. The superb optical clarity also allows detailed visual inspection to be performed simultaneously. 

Intuitive Microprocessor
Data processing is performed by the QC-300 multi-function microprocessor. QC-300 is ideal for measuring common component features, such as circles, angles, lines, arcs and distances and has been designed with ease of operation in mind, featuring a high resolution colour video touch screen with intuitive interface. Advanced features include image capture and analysis, enhanced tolerancing, reporting capability and data output via USB port. 

Options & Accessories
Surface and sub-stage illumination options enable adjustment of lighting to suit any application. Surface illumination is provided by a shadow-free 6-point ringlight, with the option of episcopic (through the lens) illumination for viewing blind bores or deep surface features. Quick-change macro magnification options are: x10, x20, x50 and x100 (x20 fitted as standard), with high magnification micro objectives available in a 4-turret array: x50, x100, x200, x500 and x1000.

Metro-FORM Internal Dimension Measurement

Metro-FORM for high accuracy video measurementMetro-FORM offers a unique solution for rapid, repeatable & accurate gauging of intricate internal features. Where conventional techniques would involve the destructive testing of a component, Metro-FORM allows a highly accurate internal representation of the component to be made, leaving the original test piece intact.

QC-300 Digital Readout
Quadra-Chek digital readouts and metrology software are the premier systems for the measurement and inspection of 2-D geometric components. A QC-300 digital readout is the mid-level control interface within the Hawk family of non-contact measuring systems, providing a powerful combination to empower operators along every step of the measurement process. Patented features reduce repetitive measurements and simplify complex work steps, with the ability to utilise Video Edge Detection (VED) for enhanced throughput. 

The QC-300 features an enhanced touch-screen interface, patented Measure Magic® technology and includes serial and USB ports for use with printers and on computer networks. 

Intuitive User Interface
A consistent, intuitive interface ensures operator accuracy and reduces training time. 

Measure Magic®
To measure, simply probe points and click. QC-300 detects, without the operator's intervention, the feature type being measured. With the patented Measure Magic? feature, operators can inspect multiple features without taking their eyes off the part, increasing throughput, improving accuracy and reducing user fatigue. 

An audible tone also sounds from the in-built speaker to prompt operator action without interrupting workflow, speeding up data entry. 

Part Programming
Program a measurement sequence once and run it back as often as you need. Measure the same number of points per feature, in the identical sequence, part after part. 

Intersections & Constructions
Obtain essential intersection and construction results by selecting from the list of previously measured features, complete with graphics. 

Geometric Tolerancing
QC-300's unique graphical representation instantly displays pass/fail performance details for critical part dimensions. Results and important measurement data are displayed in an uncluttered and comprehensive display.
