This product is no exception, made from Nylon 11 these bags are the standard packaging medium for evidence suspected of containing fire accelerants. Nylon bags have a low permeability to hydrocarbons and other volatile materials and have the added advantages of being burst and tear resistant and thus well suited for the collection and storage of suspicious material which may be of interest for later laboratory examination.

The Bio100 system incorporates a vacuum device with different end attachments specifically designed for the appropriate evidence to be collected.  The evidence is collected in lab-ready vials for fast lab processing to minimize manual handling.  Liquids or dissolved blood, semen, skin cells, powders and fibers are drawn into the Bio100 liquid collection vial using the Bio100 vacuum handle. 

The Bio100 vacuum adapter has a membrane that will prevent liquids from entering the pump. Once the sample has been collected into the vial, the tip is removed and placed into another vial for shipment to the lab along with the liquid vial.  Upon receipt at the lab, the tip and vial can be processed using standard laboratory techniques. With Bio100 there is no cutting and all our tips and vials are inert to all extraction buffers.

The importance of a good footwear or tyre tread cast can be invaluable. Before pouring any of the casting mixtures into the impressions we advise applying a thin layer of snowprint wax or Unifix 16. This should be carefully sprayed from a distance to cover the entire impression lightly.

This coating assists in slightly hardening the surface in an attempt to minimize possible disturbance as material is poured into the substrate. The 1kg handipack plastic bag technique means there is very little mess and no clean up. The prepared and mixed casting material must not be poured directly over all areas of the impression, but directed to one side only.

Depending upon environmental conditions the actual setting times vary from 20 minutes to about 1hour 45 minutes. Also available in other pack sizes like: 5kgs, 25kgs

This product contains one third material more than you will find in conventional tubes which makes it extremely cost effective.
